Take a look at what we've been doing this half term

Weekly News: Summer 2 Week 6

This week we had 'Creative Lego Builders' come into school. The children loved making their creations, putting their houses together to create a collaborative piece.

The children have also enjoyed transition day in their new classes- Mrs Kinsella said they had a great time :)

Weekly News: Summer 2 Week 5

First of all, I would like to thank you for the sheer commitment you have shown throughout home learning this week. The quality of your work has been amazing, your contribution to the live sessions has been respectful and positive, you really are an adaptable Year 1 class who have come on leaps and bounds since the start of the year. No matter what challenges you are facing, you are still determined to succeed.

I thought this week I would put a selection of work on to celebrate your time hard work at home. 3 days to go Year 1. Thank you parents for all your support. I hope you feel as proud as I do :)

Have a good end to the week and keep positive!

Weekly News: Summer 2 Week 4

Year 1 have been really focused this week with their assessments in maths, reading and grammar. During provision time, the children have focused on increasing their independence during creative writing. The children have enjoyed the sunshine and played beautifully during playtime this week, well done!

Finally, the reward day was well received. Year 1 loved having an opportunity to relax with a film, they really deserved it! My apologies for the ice lollies not being frozen on time! I hope the children enjoyed them at home. Lets have a great week of online learning next week :)

Miss Stone :)

Wow! What a great first half term Year 1 have had! We have been so busy learning lots of new things. :)

In topic, we've been looking at the big question: 'Why is Neil Armstrong so brave?'

The children have shown great interest in where Neil Armstrong went to, created fact- files, made timelines of Armstrong's life and even pretended to fly to the moon in their own rocket ship!

Year 1 have worked really hard on place value in maths and tried really hard in learning some new phase 5 phonics.

We have particularly enjoyed keeping active! Each day we choose a variety of go noodles and enjoy completing out daily mile!
