Thu 08 Feb 2024Y6 have been rewarded during their Results Breakfast with new books and breakfast after working incredibly hard during their mock SATs week. We’re incredibly proud of them; well done Year 6.
Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic open classroom celebrating their love of reading with their parents and guardians. It was wonderful for parents to join in reading aloud and we were blown away by the wonderful poetry that was written and shared. Thank you to everyone involved.

Author Visit by Stephanie Sorrell with Key Stage 2 children
Fri 24 Mar 2023We were delighted to be joined by author Stephanie Sorrell - author of Dandy - the Highway Lion on 24th March.
Stephanie grew up in the local area and shared the story of how her love of writing began - when she told her Y2 teacher what was what! She also expanded on her writing journey to where she is today - author of children's books.
We were treated to a writing masterclass where children helped to create fantastic characters, who had a dream they wanted to achieve, but hit obstacles along the way.
Some children had a special copy of the book signed by Stephanie too!
Stephanie has set the children a challenge to write their own stories along these lines which can be shared with her on her unusual home...a catamaran!
