Year 2 Trip to Tatton Park
Year 2 had a fantastic day out to Tatton Park. They learned all about different homes from the past. There was a Viking who showed us how they lived 1000 years ago with a real life fire burning. We had a go at making some flour by grounding ears of corn. Then we looked inside a Tudor house and saw the servants bedroom. The beds looked uncomforatble and we found out why they say 'night night, don't let the bedbugs bite' because of the straw matress. Finally, we went inside a Victorian house. There were so many differnt objects to look at and we did some washing by hand in a tub and used grated soap from a bar. It was a fantastic day rounded off with some old fashioned games they used to play.
