For Art Week, reception have been exploring colour mixing. We learned about primary colours and which 'colour sums' we would need to make to make secondary colours. We painted our hands with two primary colours and then rubbed them together to see which colour they made. We printed our hand prints to make a big collaborative eye, based on a drawing by our class artist Barbara Hepworth. We embellished the eye with different fabric eyelashes, talking about different textures.
We also took advantage of the white snow, using coloured water to make the snow different colours, and of course built a snowman or two!
