Here's what the class have been busy learning about this half term.

Summer 2

Year 5 enjoyed their Lego workshop, they worked well as a class to build a community. They also enjoyed ice lollies in a rounders break

We have been researching animals linked to our Rainforests unit in topic- this included exploring endangered species

Year 5 have learnt Yoga skills, they now know a range of positions. They also worked on meditation and relaxation skills.

Summer 1

Year 5 have enjoyed developing their tennis skills

The children enjoyed programming a Sphero to follow a set of instructions

Spring 2

Dancing- Year 5 have enjoying dancing- they worked hard on timing and getting into the right position in time.

Year 5 have explored their new Science unit in Topic- Living things in their habitats. The children worked in pairs to dissect a flower and label the different parts, including the male and female parts.

The children all worked well in groups and labelled accurately. 


Autumn 2

The children have developed their passing, defending and shooting skills in Handball lessons each week.

Autumn 1

The children enjoyed exploring phases of the moon using oreos. They were able to recreate the phases of moon and explain it.

We have researched facts about Earth and Space, our topic.

The children have worked together to explore punctuation and grammar in English

The children have researched artists, explored painting techniques and applied this in their own work.
