This week, you are going to be continuing with your new booklet 'The Amazing Adventures of Max'/

Please work through the rest of the booklet, pages 13-23. There will be chance for you to do some poetry, weaving, rhyming and story writing - have fun!

This week we are starting a new topic 'Are Superheroes Real?' We will explore what makes us super, what super things people have done in our world and much more.

'What is super about me?'

Today you are going to explore your 'super senses!'

Watch this video all about the 5 senses: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0118581

Go on a senses scavenger hunt either around your house or on a walk https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/au-t-3745-five-senses-scavenger-hunt-worksheet

Have a talk with a grown-up about what else makes your super. Maybe you have a talent like singing or dancing, or are really good at riding a bike or swimming. Maybe you are really kind and helpful. All of these things make you a superhero!

Can you fill in an 'All About Me' Superhero? Can you write a sentence underneath telling me what makes you super?

'What superpowers would you have?'

Draw yourself as a superhero. What colours would you wear? What magical powers would you have? Can you create a superhero mask and act out your superpowers?

Can you make a bottle jet or superhero cuffs?

'Who are the real life superheroes?

Think about people in our community. Who are the the people who help others? What makes them special? Talk/find out about the people who drive these 'super vehicles' and what jobs they do.

Test your knowledge of people who help you with this quiz

Can you write a letter to someone in the emergency services, thanking them for being superheroes?

'Can animals have superpowers?'

Have a look at these animals and their super cool superpowers!

Take this quiz and see what superpower animal you would be!

Draw yourself as a super animal with different animal body parts and write a sentence about your super animal powers!

'What is a normal day like for a superhero?'

Today is the day for YOU to be the superhero! Dress up like a superhero (you could use the mask and cuffs from earlier in the week). Now you need to go on missions around the house. Can you save teddy from falling off the window sill? Can you help a cat stuck up a tree? Can you defeat an evil villain?

If you can, take pictures of your adventures and order them to make a superhero story. Can you write some superpower words (e.g. KAPOW, WHAM!) or even write some sentences about your adventure? Don't forget to give yourself a superhero name!
